We are a boutique law firm specializing in administrative law, offering legal practice both in litigation and consulting, as well as regulatory and public affairs management.
The founding partners, Gustavo Carvajal and Juan Pedro Machado, joined projects in 1995 and since then, we have been active participants in the transformation of administrative law in Mexico. After almost three decades of practice, we have repeatedly received international recognition in lawyers' guides, have had a record of success in litigation and arbitration cases before national and international courts, and a base of prestigious clients who have placed their trust in us.
We work as a team. Our attorneys are preeminent lawyers with national and international reputations. Each lawyer at the firm brings diverse qualifications and skills to the sum of the work. In this way, we have become a reference when dealing with regulatory compliance issues or administrative and constitutional litigation. The incorporation, in recent years, of Pilar Galván as partner, has further strengthened our capabilities and renewed our vision by having a new and younger generation of partners.
Our clients are generally companies with litigation or regulatory needs that have or are starting tourism, energy (electricity, gas, and oil), infrastructure, mining, port, and industrial projects. We also have clients dedicated to transportation, advertising, technological platforms, and other similar state-regulated activities. Due to their origin, most of our clients are companies from Mexico, the United States of America, and Spain.
Carvajal y Machado, S.C. aspires to continue being the leading law firm in Mexico in solving situations and disputes that require specialized legal knowledge but also seeks to deeply understand and influence public policies by comprehending the dynamics of the government at all three levels (federal, state and local).
